Club - Junior - under 6 to under 12
All of the club's coaches are appointed by an experienced sub committee of the board. Our coaches' performance and behavior is taken very seriously by the board and is monitored throughout the season. New coaches are mentored by experienced people within the club.
All of our coaches are qualified to at least level 1 of the Australian Rugby League's (ARL) coaching accreditation.
We are very keen to attract new coaches in all age groups and would welcome applications from interested persons.
Mini League
In 2010, we expect to field at least 6 mini-league teams with 2 teams in each age group of under 6's, under 7's, under 8's.
Mod League
In 2010, this age group may prove to be a record for the club with 2 teams in under 9's, 4-5 teams in each of under 10's and under 11's; and 4-5 teams in under 12's.
This breadth of teams allows the club to field teams in most divisions, and importantly, to find an appropriate team for any player, irrespective of ability.
We are also able to uniquely offer a progression to higher standards of competition, for junior players as their skills and experience develop over the years. Many of our under 12's have played for the club for 6 or more years.
Unlike other clubs in our district we do not offer free registration to players based on special ability (ie we do not "pay" for good junior talent). Nor do we "bus players in" from out of district to play for our club. In the very rare case where we do not have a team playing in an appropriate division for an individual player - we help them find somewhere suitable.
